Cegelec Abu Dhabi, is a specialized engineering and contracting business unit focused on electrical, instrumentation, and control systems projects for the Oil & Gas industry. From initial design through to construction and commissioning, AEP delivers end-to-end solutions tailored to the sector’s technical and operational demands.

Role & responsabilities

Join our Engineering team and gain hands-on experience in the design and implementation of electrical control systems. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will contribute to real-world projects while developing your technical expertise in electrical engineering, design review and project execution.

In this role, you will:

• Support the design, development and implementation of electrical control systems and equipment under the guidance of the Lead Electrical Engineer.

• Assist in the preparation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.

• Perform cable sizing calculations in accordance with project requirements and engineering standards.

• Review vendor documentation and technical submittals to ensure compliance with client specifications and project requirements.

• Contribute to the preparation, review and update of technical documents, drawings and reports.

• Support engineering activities throughout the different stages of project execution.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful delivery of engineering solutions.

• Develop your understanding of industry standards, engineering best practices and quality requirements.

Profile

You are currently pursuing the final year of a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or have recently graduated, and you are looking to develop your skills through a hands-on engineering experience.

You have a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and a genuine interest in electrical systems, control systems and industrial applications. Analytical and detail-oriented, you enjoy solving technical challenges and delivering high-quality work.

You are comfortable preparing technical documentation and communicating effectively with different stakeholders. Curious, proactive and eager to learn, you thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

A good command of English, both written and spoken, will be an asset in this international environment.
